Giving the premiere of a new work is a rewarding and empowering experience for young students, which leaves a lasting positive impact. In addition, emerging composers greatly benefit from accepting the challenge of writing engaging music for young people.

When you commission one of our composers to write a new piece, you begin an exciting collaborative experience where students interact with composers through personalized introduction videos, in-person and online workshops, and dynamic Q & A sessions. You also walk away with a fully-customized piece, perfectly tailored to the unique strengths of your group!

What Does It Cost?

While the exact cost of a commission may vary depending on the length of the proposed work, the performing forces, and the experience level of the composer, many of our participating composers are eager to build the repertoire, and will work with your group's budget to ensure affordability.
