How many of us have ever sat in a cafe, found a nice relaxing corner, and tried to get some work done? Sometimes, I find that if I am working from home, there are too many distractions. It is too easy to go sit on the couch or lie on my bed and take a nap, or go into the kitchen for a drink. In a cafe, I'm stuck in my little corner hyper-focusing on work. Other times though, this back3res. I can get too relaxed in the cafe and start day dreaming. And then, without all the distractions of my home, I get hyper-focused on daydreaming. It all starts with one simple idea: maybe a song lyric in the background catches my attention, or a cute dog walks in, or I see an interesting plant in the window. Then it snowballs and develops for as long as my imagination will take it, or until I realize I should be working. This piece is about one of those moments. I saw a plant in the cafe and I suddenly remembered my bamboo tree at home needs water.
