Over the course of time, the melody emerges with stronger harmonies, building to a unified climax before dissolving back into the sonic murmurings from which it began. Pedagogically, the young soloist learns to manage slow tempos, perform expressively, and reference conductor cues, while the ensemble learns to explore a simple set of unusual sounds, interpret aleatory, and handle extremely quiet dynamic markings. |
