About this Piece

PictureErin Lilliefors
Lilacs in Spring is a grade 2.5 piece with a duration of approximately 3 1/2 minutes. The piece is written in 7/4 time however in a mostly 4+3 pattern. The piece has many other educational points such as ostinato rhythms, key changes, and soli/solo sections. Mixed meters do not
have to be intimidating and can be a fun challenge for students to learn at a young age!
